UGAA President's Message

With the seasons changing and very exciting year coming to a close, I would like to express a sincere thank you on behalf of the UGAA to our alumni, students, staff members and larger Guelph community for a terrific 2016. This year marked a number of achievements for alumni on campus: the opening of the new Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre; a successful Alumni Weekend; and three well-deserving recipients of the Alumni Awards of Excellence.

As we look to 2017, we have an exciting slate of events and milestones ahead. First up the UGAA Board of Directors are happy to announce that we are each Naming A Seat in the new Events Centre. (If you’re quick you might still score a seat and become part of the legacy). We are also very excited to see the opening of the alumni-supported climbing wall and lounge in the Athletics Centre. Finally, it’s the long awaited return of the Frosty Mug, Guelph’s very own Winter Homecoming!

On January 19th, we invite you to join us for the official UGAA Frosty Mug Pre-Game Party, with our NEW HOME at Draught Picks Tap House and Grill at the Sleeman Centre. For only $15, you’ll receive your game ticket, access to the pre-game party with appetizers and your very own Gryphon toque valued at $12! The party starts at 5:30 p.m. with puck drop at 7 p.m. This exciting event sells out every year so make sure to register for your ticket now before they’re gone!
