2009 Mary Lynn McPherson, BSc (Agr.) '80

Throughout her work, Mary Lynn McPherson has been a beacon of support to a wide variety of causes. Through her selfless actions and invaluable contributions, she has shown unwavering support and dedication to the University of Guelph and the Ontario Agricultural College.

Mrs. McPherson completed her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1980 at OAC and later returned to Guelph to complete the Canadian AgriBusiness Executive Development Program.

Extensive volunteer involvement with the Ontario Agricultural College over the last 20 years has led to various leadership positions in the OAC Alumni Association, OAC Alumni Foundation, and the University of Guelph Alumni Association. Mrs. McPherson also co-led a negotiation skills course for three Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program (AALP) classes.

Mrs. McPherson has dedicated countless hours to various community groups, including the Ontario 4-H Foundation, London Chamber of Commerce (Agricultural Committee), the Centre for Rural Leadership, Woolwich Community Health Care Centre, Toastmasters and Strive.

Besides having a family, Ms. McPherson also contributes a great deal of time to her church, Calvary United, as a volunteer, committee chair and board chair
